Across the country, states have had success in framing the discussion of early care and education (ECE) in economic terms. This has allowed state and local leaders to advocate more effectively for strong ECE systems, develop new strategies to strengthen ECE, and in turn, build and maintain a healthy economy.
Below are links to profiles of selected states that provide promising, informative, and/or replicable ideas in boosting the economic power of ECE. The profiles are based on interviews and web research, and are intended to help local, state, and national leaders learn from experiences around the country and share information with each other.
We will continue to add materials as new ideas, successes, and lessons learned emerge. Use the “Search by Topic” feature on the left to select states by specific types of efforts.
